Thursday, May 12, 2011 – SPRINGFIELD, MO. – The Market Lady, Lane McConnell, will visit the Cabool Farmers Market in Cabool, Mo., on Wednesday, May 18. The Market Lady and video crew will begin at 11:15 a.m., with a two cooking demonstrations incorporating products from the market and will be interviewing producers and consumers for various other segments.
“We are so excited that The Market Lady will be visiting the Cabool Area Farmers Market,” said Cabool Farmers Market Manager Deb French. “People want to try new dishes but don’t know how to fix it. The Market Lady is a great way to let people know all the different ways to prepare fresh fruits and vegetables.”

Market Strawberry Soup
1 1/2 pounds fresh or frozen strawberries
1/4 cup vanilla yogurt
1 pint cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Blend strawberries in blender until smooth. Slowly add vanilla yogurt and keep blending. Pour strawberry mixture into large bowl. Add cream and vanilla and stir until blended.
Chill in fridge for at least 1 hour. Before serving garnish with a fresh strawberry or a mint leave. Serve in soup bowls.
